Mr. Mathew George (Mohan Plammoottil), passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2012, in Dubai. He has been living in the Chicagoland area for the last 4 decades. He’s survived by his wife, Dr. Rita George and his only daughter Anita. His only brother Dr. Issac Plammotil is an ER physician and lives in Chicago.  His native place is Chengannur (near the railway station).

Mr. Mathew George’s parents were in Dubai for about 30 + years before they settled down in Chengannur. He was a member of the Malankara Catholic Church of Chicago. Mr. George was a director of a Chemistry dept. of a chemical company for several years and after taking early retirement he started a business in Dubai for about 6 years. But he traveled back and forth between Dubai and Chicago as his wife and daughter are here.
